Chief Minister Shri Sai extended his best wishes to Utkal Samaj and the people of Odisha
Chief Minister Shri Sai extended his heartfelt greetings and best wishes to all the brothers of Utkal Samaj living in the state and across the country on the occasion of Odisha State Foundation Day (Utkal Day). He said that this day is not only a celebration of the formation of Odisha, but is an inspiration for struggle, self-esteem and cultural unity. The Chief Minister said that a large number of people of Utkal Samaj reside in Chhattisgarh, who strengthen the social harmony and diversity of the state.
Saluted the contribution of Barrister Madhusudan Das
Chief Minister Shri Sai said that the state of Odisha was formed on 1 April 1936 due to the struggles of a visionary and dedicated personality like Barrister Madhusudan Das. Chief Minister Shri Sai said that there have been cultural and social relations between Chhattisgarh and Odisha for centuries. He told that the rice offered to Mahaprabhu Shri Jagannath still comes from Chhattisgarh. Especially the rice of Devbhog area, which is used as Prasad of the Lord, is a symbol of religious connection of both the states.
Prayed to Mahaprabhu Jagannath for the welfare of the people of the state
Chief Minister Shri Sai prayed to Mahaprabhu Shri Jagannath for the happiness, peace and prosperity of the people of Chhattisgarh. He said that the blessings of Lord Jagannath will always remain on Chhattisgarh.
On this occasion, MLA Shri Kiran Dev, MLA Shri Purandar Mishra, MLA Shri Sunil Soni, Mayor Mrs. Meenal Choubey, Chairman Shri Suryakant Rathore, Shri Sanjay Srivastava, members of Utkal Samaj and a large number of dignitaries were present.
