Raipur (thestates.news) | Reflecting the sensitive and welfare-oriented vision of the Shri Vishnu Deo Sai Sai-led Chhattisgarh Government, a grand mass marriage ceremony of 283 couples was solemnised on Tuesday at the new fair ground in Rajim under _Mukhyamantri Kanya Vivah Yojana_. The historic event was graced by the State’s Tourism and Culture Minister Shri Rajesh Agrawal as the chief guest. He extended his blessings to the newly-wed couples. The ceremony was presided over by Rajim MLA Shri Rohit Sahu.
This flagship scheme of the State government has significantly eased the financial burden on needy families and has emerged as a boon for all sections of society, enabling dignified marriages for daughters from economically weaker backgrounds.
