Patna, (Thestates.news)| The Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) on Friday attacked the Nitish Kumar government in Bihar on the issue of serial bridge collapses, and claimed that the incidents incidents revealed that corruption is at its peak in the state.State Leader of Opposition Tejaswi Yadav of RJD wrote on his social media handle X that 12 bridges giving way in 15 days cannot be considered normal, and speak volumes about the state of corruption in Bihar.
Hitting out at the NDA slogan of “Double engine government” – NDA government both at the Centre and in the state – Yadav said on his X handle that one engine was engaged in corruption and the other in crime.The RJD leader said with the intention of saving themselves from humiliation, NDA leaders were blaming him for the incidents.
Yadav said except for 18 months, the Rural Works Department, which constructed the bridges, was headed by the Janata Dal-United. The bridges that collapsed in the recent past were constructed during JDU rule, he said.
Yadav also slammed the state government for unemployment, poverty and inflation. (UNI)
