COVID screening and contact tracing of passengers coming from other states to Chhattisgarh in progress

Raipur (the states. news) As precautionary measures to prevent corona infection, Chhattisgarh Government has issued instructions to all the Commissioners and District Collectors to arrange for COVID screening and contact tracing of travelers coming to Chhattisgarh through various modes of transport from other states.

On Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel’s instructions, General Administration Department has issued instructions in the context to all the commissioners and district collectors to make arrangements for COVID screening and contract tracing system for the travelers coming from other states to Chhattisgarh through various modes of transport.  As per the scheduled SOP of all the passengers including the passengers arriving at Raipur and Jagdalpur (Bastar) airport from Mumbai and Delhi, strict adherence to instructions regarding COVID screening and contact tracing should be ensured. In the guidelines issued for COVID prevention, GAD has directed the officials concerned to make necessary arrangements for COVID screening and contact tracing of passengers coming by road and rail, especially from Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh and Delhi, at the railway station, bus station and international entry point. All the Commissioners and District Collectors have been directed to ensure strict adherence to these instructions and also to make arrangements for the related activities

In view of the increasing number of COVID-19 cases in the state, Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel has appealed people of the state to follow the guidelines issued earlier for prevention of COVID-19 infection. Chief Minister has said that until we conquer this pandemic, we need to wear mask, practice social and physical distancing, wash hands every once in a while. (media saheb.com)
