Training for operating Cyber Crime Analysis and Profiling System Portal concludes.
Raipur (thestates.news)| A training session for Police officers and employees to operate Cyber Crime Analysis and Profiling System Portal concluded at the Police Headquarters, Nava Raipur. It will be used as a tool for tracking and catching cybercriminals.
Inaugurating the training session, Additional Director General of Police (Technical Services) Pradeep Gupta expressed his concern over the rise in cybercrime cases in the state. He appreciated the CyCAPS portal for addressing and easing the challenges faced by security agencies in tackling cybercrime, he advised all the participating officers and employees to clearly understand available tools in the portal to track the digital footprint of the cyber criminals. Devender Singh, Superintendent of Police, Special Cell, Intelligence Department (Telangana Police) gave detailed information about the operation of the portal to the trainees. He informed that the CyCAPS portal has been developed for tracking cyber criminals and is linked to various databases like NCRP, Cyber Safe, CCTNS etc.
Mr.Singh elaborated that this portal has a database which contains important information related to cybercrimes like information on cyber criminals, the number of complaints, cyber crime hotspots, profiles, devices and financial activities, which will help in tracking the cyber criminals. He said that every district has a login ID to access this portal so that they can access the information needed to solve or track any case.
The event was virtually attended by Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Police Rajnandgaon Mr.Ram Gopal Garg, Additional Superintendent of Police (Technical Services) from Police Headquarters Mr.Kavi Gupta and Cyber Nodal Officers and Cyber Cell in-charge of all the districts.
