“Emerging Trends in Life Science and Nanomedicine Research” from 14th -27th June,
2022. The aim of the programme is to enhance and enrich the faculty participants to acquire
knowledge about the recent advancement in pharmaceutical medicine, nanoscience research,
patent filing, entrepreneurship skills, advances in bioinformatics and biotechnology in current
scenario that has led to fascinating innovations. Nanomedicine research has wide variety of
applications for altering the structural, surface, and physicochemical properties of nano sized
materials. The premise of the faculty development programme focuses on sharpening the
teaching and research abilities of the participants by providing a platform to stimulate and
analyse the changing demands in the field of pharmaceutical education. The broad themes of
the FDP are, multi-disciplinary approaches in research methodology ,nanostructures and their
possible biomedical use, Nano-ranged substances for health and medicine-based challenges,
Quality education and research, Innovative pedagogical techniques, National Education Policy
2020, Data science and use of technical software, Recent advancement in Nanomedicine
research and Current innovation in life sciences. The programme has been specifically
designed for Early-Career Professionals, Academicians, Research Scholars and Policy
Makers. There were various sessions like on Day 1- 21st June 2022 Prof. Bhramdev
Pattnaik, Dean, Institute of Veterinary Sciences and Animal Husbandry, SOA University,
Odisha, gave deliberation on Current status of Virus & Zoonosis. 2nd session was from Dr. Anil Kumar Verma, Scientist C, ICMR- National Institute of Research in Tribal Health Diagnostic and discussed the challenges in malaria disease in tribal areas. On Day 2, 22nd June started with the application of mushroom & its products in welfare of human health, given by Dr. M P Thakur Director, IGKV. Continued by the gracious presence of Dr. M. L. Parihar, Scientific Officer / E Department of Atomic Energy, Government of India, Nuclear Fuel Complex-Kota Project, Rawatbhata, Rajasthan with a very motivating session on “Emerging Trends towards Health and Happiness Through Alternative Therapies”. On Day 3, 23rd June 2022 knowledgeable sessions of FDP continued with Dr. Siva S. Panda, AssistantProfessor, Dept. of Chemistry and Physics, Augusta University USA, shared his study on “Molecular Hybridization: An Effective and Potential Tool For Drug Development”.
Dr. M. L. Nayak, Retd. Professor Pt. RSU, talked about biodiversity of Chhattisgarh with special reference to endangered species. The day 3 was concluded by Dr. Ashok Kumar Varma, Principal Scientist, Advanced Center for Treatment, Research & Education in Cancer, Navi Mumbai, who shared his researches with all possible analysis on “Challenges on Evaluating The Early Detection Biomarkers Using Genomics And Proteomics Based Approaches” On Day 4, 24th June 2022 Prof. Sardul Singh Sandhu, Director, Design Innovation Centre, R D University, Jabalpur shared his knowledge “Patentability of Biotechnology Research in India” Dr. Alok K. Pandey, Principal Scientist, CSIR-Indian Institute of Toxicology Research, shared his experiences and research on Nanomaterial Toxicology, Geneotoxicology. Dr. Chandrakant K. Sharma (Dean of sciences), Dr. Sandip Prasad Tiwari (Principal, Pharmacy), Dr. Sushma Dubey (HOD, Biotechnology), Dr. Deepa Bishwas (HOD,Botany), Dr. Manoj Singh (HOD, Zoology) along with faculty members from Pharmacy Mr. Sudeep Mandal, Ms. Sonam Chhipane, Ms Rajni Yadav, Mr Deependra Soni, Mr. Pranjul Shrivastava, Dr. Bhumika Chandrakar, Ms. Srishti Namdeo, Ms. Khushboo Gupta, and from Sciences Dr. Sohini Bhattacharyya (Faculty of Zoology), Mr. Abhishek Pandey (Faculty of Botany), Dr. Parakh Sehgal, Ms. Nirali Budhbhatti, Dr. Ramswaroop Saini (Faculty of Biotechnology) have attended program successfully. Research scholars of various life science department also attended FDP program to gain insight over advancements in sciences.
