Raipur (thestates.news) | The deadline for the renewal process of all 77 lakh ration cards under the Public Distribution System in Chhattisgarh is now extended until February 25th. Keeping in view the convenience of the people, the Minister of the Food, Civil Supplies, and Consumer Protection Department, Shri Dayaldas Baghel, instructed the Food Department to prioritize extending the deadline for online renewal applications for remaining ration card holders.
Director of the Food Department, Shri Jitendra Shukla, has issued guidelines to all district collectors regarding this extension. To facilitate the renewal process, a new mobile app developed by the Food Department for ration card renewal is now available on the Google Play Store. Beneficiaries can also download it from the Food Department’s website at http://khadya.cg.nic.inWith this app, ration card holders can easily submit their renewal applications online using their mobile phones. Besides, for those without Android devices or in areas with limited mobile connectivity, the option to renew ration cards online is available at fair price shops.
