Delhi borders to open on Monday: Arvind Kejriwal

New Delhi, (thestates.news) Delhi #borders will re-open from Monday, #Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal said.
He told media persons that the state’s borders that had been sealed on June 1, . However the Delhi government hospitals along with large number of city’s private hospitals will be reserved for the Delhiites.
When the #lockdown 5.0 began on June 1, the borders were sealed thinking that city’s hospitals will get crowded by pressure of the patients from different states making it difficult to manage the situation.
Earlier, #Ghaziabad and #Haryana had sealed their borders after witnessing a spike in the cases with administrations saying that the cases found COVID positive were majorly those who commuted to Delhi for work.
Meanwhile, Delhi CM has also announced opening of the #malls, #restaurants, #places of worship , #however, #hotels and #banquets will remain closed.
He also said that due to rising cases, there might be a possibility to take over hotels and banquets and convert them into COVID care centres.
Delhi CM also said that nearly 7.5 lakh people had sent in their suggestions to the government out of which majority suggested that till the pandemic subsides the health services, #hospitals be kept for Delhiites, and the same was also advised by the five member expert committee in view of balancing the situation.
