US President Donald Trump on Friday said he
won’t attend President-elect Joe Biden’s inauguration on January 20, breaking
the age-old tradition of not participating in the successor’s inaugural
ceremony.
”To all of those who have asked, I will not be
going to the Inauguration on January 20th,” the President tweeted, hours after
he returned to Twitter, after a 12-hour ban.
According to several media reports, Donald
Trump will be the fourth President after former presidents John Adams, John
Quincy Adams and Andrew Johnson, to not attend their successor’s inauguration
