EAM S Jaishankar to interact with Pune’s youth on April 12

Mumbai, (Thestates.news)| External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar will interact with the youth of city on topic, ‘Journey of Global Rise of India’, on Friday. The lecture will be organised at Balgandharva Rangmandir, said Rajesh Pandey, president of Samarth Yuva Pratishthan, and Punit Joshi, working president of Yuva Surajya Pratishthan, in a press conference on Wednesday.
Jaishankar has played an important role in creating image of India as a responsible nation that does not tolerate any wrongdoing and at the same time thinks about the welfare of the world, said Pandey. He is already popular among the youth due to his international administrative experience and his work style, he said.
Similarly, Pune is directly connected to international organisations and is hub of industry and education sector, he nformed. Five sectors of the industry, such as information technology, electronics, automobile, agricultural processing and pharmaceuticals, that deal with the world are from Pune, he said. Every year, about one million students from India go abroad for education, out of which, Maharashtra’s share is 12.5 per cent, he informed. Therefore, it is important for the Foreign Minister of India to communicate with the people of Pune, added Pandey. (uni)
