Innovation Council (IIC), Kalinga University successfully organized a field visit to the Chhattisgarh Swami Vivekanand Technical University (CSVTU) Incubation Center, Bhilai, as part of its IIC Activity initiative. This field visit was organized under the guidance of Director CCRC, Mr. Pankaj Tiwari, and Training and Placement Officer, Mr. Arup Haldar. The students were accompanied by faculty members from the CS & IT department, Mr. Manish Nandi, and from the Commerce & Management department, Ms. Deepshikha.
The visit began at 11:00 AM with a warm welcome by Mr. Agranshu Dwivedi, CEO of the CSVTU Incubation Centre. Students’ introductions marked the event’s beginning. A total of 38 students from various disciplines of Kalinga University participated in the visit, eager to learn about the startup ecosystem and the journey from idea to execution. He engaged the students with an enlightening session on incubation, the startup journey, and the numerous government initiatives designed to support budding entrepreneurs. His insights offered students a comprehensive
understanding of the challenges and opportunities within the startup ecosystem.
A standout moment of the visit was the introduction of an innovative prototype—an LPG gas leakage detector designed to ensure safety by sending alerts, shutting off the gas cylinder, and automatically activating an exhaust fan. This real-world example of a startup in action provided the students with a tangible connection to the concepts discussed during the session. The visit concluded with an interactive Q&A session, where students had the opportunity to have their questions addressed by Mr. Agranshu. The session was followed by a tour of the center’s state-of-the-art facilities, further inspiring students to consider entrepreneurship as a viable and exciting career path.
The field visit was a valuable educational experience for the students to be equipped to explore the entrepreneurial landscape. This visit marks a significant step towards fostering innovation and entrepreneurship among the students of Kalinga University, reinforcing the institution’s commitment to nurturing the next generation of business leaders.
