New Delhi(thestates.news)| : Bollywood actress Jacqueline Fernandez will appear in Delhi’s Patiala House Court today in connection with the alleged cheating of Rs 200 crore from Aditi Singh, wife of former Ranbaxy promoter Shivendra Singh. On August 31, the court took cognizance of the supplementary charge sheet filed against Jacqueline Fernandez. On August 17, the ED had filed a supplementary charge sheet. The ED has made Jacqueline an accused in the supplementary charge sheet. The ED has attached Jacqueline’s assets worth Rs 7 crore in this case in April. According to the chargesheet of the ED, the main accused in this case, Sukesh Chandrashekhar, had given gifts worth more than Rs.5 crore 71 lakh. Sukesh used to deliver gifts to Jacqueline through his associate Pinky Irani. These gifts include a horse worth Rs 52 lakh and a Parsi cat worth Rs 9 lakh.
According to the ED, Sukesh Chandrashekhar used the illegal money which he had fraudulently collected from other high-profile people including Aditi Singh, wife of Shivendra Singh, to buy gifts for Jacqueline. According to the ED, Sukesh prepared the structure for this entire crime and carried out the crime. Delhi Police has imposed MCOCA on Sukesh Chandrashekhar. Sukesh was in jail for trying to bribe the Election Commission in the AIADMK symbol case.(HS)
