New Delhi, (thestates.news) | In quick succession to defence and external affairs ministers visit, union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman is in the United States on an official visit starting April 18. She will attend the International Monetary Fund and World Bank Spring meetings, as well as the G20 Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors Meetings.
According to the program released by the Ministry of Finance, the official visit of the Finance Minister will also meet with CEOs of companies operating in semiconductors, energy and other priority sectors of the government. Apart from this, the Minister will also participate in bilateral meetings with the Finance Ministers of Indonesia, South Korea, Sri Lanka and South Africa.
During her US visit, Sitharaman is scheduled to meet World Bank President David Melpass. The Finance Minister will also participate in a discussion organized by the Managing Director of the IMF. Apart from this, Sitharaman will attend a program of Atlantic Council, a Washington-based think-tank, as well as interact with teachers and students of Stanford University.(H.S.)
