Food Photography Competition at Kalinga University

Raipur (Thestates.news), Kalinga University’s Department of Journalism and Mass Communication, Faculty of Art and Humanities, recently hosted an enthralling intra-university Food Photography Competition and Exhibition with the topic “Foodo-Graphy.” The exhibition featured a wide variety of culinary photography captured by university students. Dr. Jasmine Joshi, Dean of Students’ Welfare, and Dr. Shilpi Bhattacharya, Dean of the Faculty of Art and Humanities, inaugurated the ceremony. The captivating display of culinary images grabbed the attention of educators as well as students at the exhibition. The photos were a visual feast that celebrated the beauty and innovation of food photography. 32 students registered for the competition and over 40 images were displayed. Dr. Jasmine Joshi, being the judge, thoroughly reviewed the entries and selected the top three images as winners. The winners Ms. Shibi Shibani Dey, Master of Journalism and Mass Communication, Ms. Jigyasha Sahu, Bachelor of Journalism and Mass Communication, Ms. Amber Gagan, Bachelor of Journalism and Mass Communication were awarded trophies to recognize their outstanding talent. All participants received certificates of participation, recognizing their significant contributions to the success of the event. The Food Photography Competition and Exhibition not only highlighted the students’ skills and creative vision, but also gave them a platform to share their work with a larger audience. It was a fascinating and exciting event that brought together two passions: cuisine and photography. Kalinga University takes great delight in cultivating and supporting its students’ artistic aspirations. This exhibition reflects the university’s dedication to promoting creativity and offering chances for students to explore and express themselves in many artistic forms.
