Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel virtually inaugurated the innovative ‘Swami Atmanand Coaching Scheme’ of the School Education Department today from his residence office. Under the scheme, students of class 12th in government schools will be provided free coaching facility for the preparation of competitive examinations of engineering and medical. 150 Coaching centers are being opened under the scheme in all the 146 development block headquarters of the state as well as in Raipur, Durg, Bilaspur and Korba. In the presence of Chief Minister Mr. Baghel and School Education Minister Mr. Ravindra Choubey, a MoU was signed between Samagra Shiksha Division of School Education Department, Chhattisgarh Text Book Corporation and Allen Career Coaching Institute Private Limited for the implementation of Swami Atmanand Coaching Scheme.
On this occasion, Chief Minister released a brochure on Swami Atmanand Coaching Scheme, prepared by School Education Department. He interacted online with the students present in the coaching centers of various development blocks of the state and took information regarding the scheme. Students thanked Chief Minister and School Education Minister for the scheme and said that it would help them build a better future for themselves.
At the inaugural program of Swami Atmanand Coaching Scheme, Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel made another important announcement in the interest of school students, saying that in the near future, we will make full-fledged arrangements to provide online coaching facilities for PSC and other competitive examinations in all the development blocks.

Chief Minister Mr. Baghel said that Swami Atmanand Coaching Scheme will prove to be an important factor in shaping a brighter future for children. Our government has been making consistent consolidated efforts to create a positive environment for education in the state. Provision of Rs 1100 crore was made for the infrastructure development of schools. With this amount, necessary resources including maintenance of school buildings and rooms and additional rooms were arranged. Recruitment of 30 thousand teachers has started in schools. Measures taken in the field of agriculture have led to a significant increase in the number of farmers and expansion in the area and production of agricultural sector. Similarly, the health sector has also undergone an evident transformation.
Chief Minister Mr. Baghel said that 753 Swami Atmanand Excellent English and Hindi medium schools are being run in the state to provide quality education to children, especially those in rural and remote areas. The scheme has grown so popular nowadays that we have more than 10 applications per seat in these schools. Swami Atmanand Coaching Scheme launched today will prove to be a revolutionary decision and an important step in the field of education.
Chief Minister said that going a step ahead in the implementation of this scheme, we have appointed teachers and made proper arrangements for coaching. Separate nodal teachers have been identified for Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics subjects in every coaching centre. There will be regular observation of the teaching work in coaching centers and parents feedback will also be taken. There will be two-way communication in online classes, that is, students will be able to ask questions to subject teachers. During this period, students will be continuously assessed.

School Education Minister Mr. Ravindra Choubey, while presiding over the program, said that School Education Department has taken immediate action and implemented the announcement made by the Chief Minister on August 15. Chief Minister has taken meaningful steps for educational development in the state. He said that earlier children studying in rural areas could not imagine having access to Kota like coaching institutions. But with the commencement of this scheme, children even in the remotest area of the state can dare to dream big and have a brighter future.
Regarding the Swami Atmanand Coaching Scheme, Principal Secretary School Education Dr. Alok Shukla said that 150 coaching centers in 146 development blocks and four cities of the state have been equipped with internet connections and computers. In these coaching centers, Hindi and English medium students of class 12th will be provided free coaching in Mathematics and Biology. So far 9 thousand 13 children have been registered under this scheme. Of these, 6 thousand 553 have registered for NEET and 2 thousand 460 have registered for JEE coaching.
