Mumbai (Thestates.news)|Maharashtra Governor Ramesh Bais accompanied by Chief Minister Eknath Shinde released the postage stamp on Shahaji Raje Bhosale at Raj Bhavan Mumbai on Fri (18 Aug).
The postage stamp was released at the valedictory function of the ‘Majhi Mati, Majha Desh’ campaign organised as part of the concluding function of the Platinum Jubilee Celebrations of India’s Independence. Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, Speaker Rahul Narwekar, Minister of Cultural Affairs Sudhir Mungantiwar, Minister of Higher Education Chandrakant Patil, Minister of School Education Deepak Kesarkar, Chief Secretary Manoj Saunik, Principal Secretary Culture Vikas Kharge, Postmaster General Amitabh Singh and others were present.
Two books ‘Maharashtratil Samaj Sudharak aani Vicharvant’ and ‘Swatantrata Sangram Mein Maharashtra Ka Yogdan’ (Hindi) were released on the occasion. A cultural programme ‘Saad Sahyadrichi, Bhoomi Maharashtrachi’ was presented on the occasion.
