Chandigarh,(thestates.news) | Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has announced a probe into singer Sidhu Moosewala’s murder case by a sitting judge of the Punjab-Haryana High Court. The Chief Minister has taken this decision after Moosewala’s father wrote a letter to CM Mann. Family members of Moosewala refused to conduct the post-mortem in Mansa on Monday. Moosewala’s father Balkaur Singh wrote a letter to Mann asking him to get the investigation done through CBI, NIA or a sitting judge of the High Court. The letter written by Moosewala’s father also raised questions on the statement made by the Director General of Police of Punjab regarding gangsters. Balkaur Singh said that if the police knew that Moosewala was in danger, then why his security was reduced.
After this letter, the Chief Minister announced to get the entire incident investigated by a committee headed by the sitting judge of the High Court. Mann made it clear that the Punjab Director General of Police has also been summoned to reply to his statement. Mann said that Sidhu Moosewala has been the pride of Punjab. The Punjab government would not spare their attackers under any circumstances, he added.(HS):
