Raipur (thestates.news)| Fourth convocation ceremony of Kalinga University was held on Friday, 18 th November 2022; where students were awarded diploma, graduation, post-graduation and Ph.D. degrees. The ceremony was graced by Visitor of Kalinga University & Honorable Governor of Chhattisgarh, Madam Anusuiya Uikey. Honorable Higher Education Minister, Government of Chhattisgarh, Shri. Umesh Patel and Honorable Chairman, Chhattisgarh Private University Regulatory Commission, Dr. Umesh Kumar Mishra were present as eminent guests on the occasion.
The grand ceremony was held at Kalinga University campus, Naya Raipur, where all the Deans, Heads of the Departments and Incharges marked their presence along with esteemed dignitaries. The ceremony started with the academic procession reaching the stage followed by the National Anthem. Visitor of Kalinga University, Governor of Chhattisgarh Honorable Madam Anusuiya Uikey, Special guests for the ceremony Higher Education Minister, Government of Chhattisgarh, Shri Umesh Patel, Chairman, Chhattisgarh Private University Regulatory Commission, Dr. Umesh Kumar Mishra, along with Chairman Kalinga University- Dr. Rajeev Kumar, Chancellor- Dr. Sandeep Arora, Pro-Chancellor- Dr. Sajjan Singh, Trustees- Dr. Seema Arora and Dr. Sharmila, Vice Chancellor- Dr. R. Shridhar, Director General- Dr. Byju John, Registrar-Dr. Sandeep Gandhi, and Dean Student Welfare- Dr. Asha Ambhaikar and Dean Academic Affairs- Professor Rahul Mishra, and other guests took the blessings from goddess of wisdom Maa Saraswati by lighting the auspicious lamp. The Registrar of the University then declared the ceremony open after taking permission from the Visitor.
In the first phase of the ceremony, Vice chancellor of the University, Dr. R Shridhar, presented the convocation address. After this Doctorate of Philosophy, post-graduation and under graduation degrees and diplomas were awarded. Shri Umesh Patel ji, Higher Education Minister, Govt. of Chhattisgarh addressed the students and asked them to focus on their aim and their future. Shri Umesh Patel ji also said that with hard work, dedication and confidence the students will achieve their dreams soon. He further said, in every phase of life, difficulties and hurdles do occur but strong conviction will make a winner in all odds.
He congratulated all the awardees and wished them a bright future.
Honorable visitor of Kalinga University and Governor of Chhattisgarh Madam Anusuiya Uikey addressed the gathering by saying that in few years of its existence Kalinga University has made a niche for itself in central India, amongst the best universities. She congratulated the management, faculties and staff of Kalinga University for providing world class education and amenities for students and helping them in shaping their future. She said that convocation ceremony is one of the most awaited ceremonies for any university.
She addressed the awardees and asked them to deliver their knowledge to society, nation and human kind to make this world a better place to live in. She urged the faculties to keep pace with the changing trends and provide platforms to the students for research so that their knowledge and research may match upto international standards and can be a greathelp for mankind. She asked all stakeholders to work together to uplift the health, education, clinical facilities along with making a pollution free and plastic free India so that we all can live a healthy life and provide a safe environment for coming generations.
The ceremony came to an end by, vote of thanks that was presented by Registrar of the University, Dr. Sandeep Gandhi. The academic procession returned after the Registrar of the University declared the ceremony closed by the permission of honourable Visitor of the University. Mr. Kapil Kelkar and Ms Shreya Dwivedi were the masters of the ceremony
and all the Heads of the Department, faculties, staff, management, parents and students
were present for the same to make it a grand success.
