Ignorance of High blood pressure can cause many serious diseases

Raipur (thestates.news) |  The Medicine Department of Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar Memorial Hospital in Raipur organized an awareness program on the occasion of World Hypertension Day, which falls on May 17th. This program was organized to create awareness about hypertension, or high blood pressure. The Head of the Department of Medicine at Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College, Dr. D.P. Lakda, along with Dr. R.L. Khare, Dr. M. Patil, Dr. Himeshwari, Dr. Ankit, and Dr. Nemesh, informed patients about hypertension disease, as well as the importance of lifestyle change, diet, prevention, and precaution. The experts highlighted the need for regular blood pressure monitoring and adherence to medications. Patients were also informed about the risks of hypertension and how it can be avoided by living a healthy lifestyle and taking regular medications.
 
The Head of the Department of Heart Disease, Dr. Smit Srivastava, and Dr. C.K. Das gave detailed information about blood pressure, its measurement method, equipment, and parameters. Dr. Smit Srivastava stated that high blood pressure should not be ignored as it can lead to serious health problems in the future, such as heart attacks, stroke, and chronic kidney disease. It is best to check for blood pressure regularly and avoid smoking and caffeine consumption. Hypertension can also be avoided by maintaining a healthy lifestyle and proper weight management. Dr. Jyoti Jaiswal from the Department of Gynecology and Obstetrics, Dr. Jaya Lalwani from the Department of Anesthesia, and many PG students from the Department of Medicine and Gynecology were present in the program.
