Regular action on the illegal storage and transportation of wood by the Forest Department
Raipur (thestates.news)| In accordance with the instructions of the Minister of Transport, Housing and Environment, Forest, and Law, Mr. Mohammad Akbar, the Forest Department is taking continuous action to prevent forest crimes, illegal collection, and transportation of wood. In the same vein, 129 illegally stored logs of mixed species and one saw machine were seized in the village Khamhariya of Katghora Forest Board.
The flying squad team, formed under the direction of the Forest Officer of the Katghora Forest Board, Mrs. Premlata Yadav, conducted a raid on the basis of the information obtained by an informer. In the action taken by the team, 129 logs of mixed species and one saw machine were found in the Badi of Saukhi Lal and Pramod in Khamhariya village. The collectors couldn’t produce the legal documents for these items. The flying squad team has filed a forest crime case and has taken the matter into consideration.
