India-Pak troops greet each at Attari-Wagah border

Chandigarh,(thestates.news)| BSF officials greeted the Pakistani Rangers with sweets at the Indo-Pak Attari-Wagah border on Tuesday.According to an agreement between India and Pakistan, both country officials are permitted to great each other and exchange sweets on the occasion of Diwali and Eid.

The event at Attari-Wagah was organized after almost two years due to Covid-19 restrictions.A joint program was organised by the BSF and Pakistan Rangers at the Joint Check Post Zero Line. The International Gate on the India-Pakistan border was opened for some time during the program.Officials and jawans of both the countries met on the Zero Line and greeted each other on Eid. After about ten minutes, the gate of the Zero Line was closed again.(HS)
