IndiGo flight makes emergency landing in Karachi

New Delhi,(thestates.news) : Indigo Airlines’ Sharjah-Hyderabad flight made an emergency landing in Karachi, Pakistan due to what is believed to be a sudden technical fault in the aircraft. Technicians are checking the plane at Karachi Airport. Indigo Airlines informed about the emergency landing on Sunday morning. Indigo said, “The aircraft was diverted towards Karachi (Pakistan) as a precautionary measure after the pilot of the Sharjah-Hyderabad flight noticed a technical fault in the aircraft. An additional flight is being sent to Karachi to take the passengers to Hyderabad.”

This is the second flight to land in Karachi within a fortnight. Earlier, on Wednesday, an Indigo Delhi to Imphal flight made an emergency landing in Kolkata. A total of 141 passengers were on board this plane. Recently, aviation regulator Directorate General of Civil Aviation had issued show cause notices after eight incidents of technical glitches in SpiceJet aircraft.(HS)
