New Delhi/Kota, (thestates.news): IIT Bombay declared the result of JEE-Advanced-2022 on Sunday. RK Shishir, a student of IIT Bombay Zone, was the All India Topper. Shishir has scored 314 marks out of 360. Among girls, Tanishka Kabra was the All India Topper by securing 277 marks out of 360. Out of the top-10, for the first time five toppers are from IIT Madras zone. Out of 2.5 lakh eligible candidates who had qualified in JEE-Main, 1,60,038 had registered. Out of which 1,55,538 candidates appeared in the examination. In the result 40,712 have been declared qualified for counselling. Toppers have also been declared in each category, state and IIT zone.

Common merit list includes RK Shishir, Rank-1; Polu Lakshmi Sai Lohit Reddy, Rank-2; Thomas Biju Chiramveli, Rank-3; Vangapalli Sai Siddhartha, Rank-4; Mayank Motwani, Rank-5; Polisetty Karthikeya, Rank-6; Prateek Sahu, Rank- 7; Dheeraj Kurukund is at rank-8, Mahit Gadhiwala rank-9 and Vecha Gyan Mahesh on rank-10. Mayank Motwani, a classroom student of Reliable Institute from Kota, was successful on AIR-5. In the result, leading coaching institutes of the country, including Kota, have claimed success in the top 100 ranks. This year the seat capacity in 23 IITs in the country is 15,031. Apart from this, 1,567 super numerical seats will be reserved for girl students. In this way, 40,712 students who have qualified in JEE-Advanced 2022 will be admitted to a total of 16,598 seats in 23 IITs.(H.S.)
