Kalinga University Faculty Conduct Sessions in Police Training Academy-Chandkhuri

Raipur (thestates.news) | The faculties of Kalinga University delivered a presentation during a Women’s Safety course for investigators organized by the Police department at Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose State Police Academy located in Chandkhuri. The five-day program, which commenced on 29th January, will conclude on 2nd February 2024.

Following the instructions of the Bureau of Police Research and Development (BPR&D), a five-day
workshop was organized at Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose State Police Academy to raise awareness
about women’s safety and crimes committed against them. Mr. Ratan Lal Dangi (IPS), the Director of the Academy, addressed police officers from different districts of Chhattisgarh State on the first day. On the second day, faculties of Kalinga University initiated a knowledge-sharing session with police officials.

The team was led by Mr. Pankaj Tiwari, Director of the Career and Corporate Research Centre (CCRC), Ms. Saloni Tyagi Shrivastava, Officiating Dean of the Faculty of Law, Mr. Abhay Mishra, Corporate Trainer of CCRC, and Ms. Darshi Sharma Guhey, Assistant Professor of Law, who conducted sessions on various laws related to women’s safety.

Ms. Saloni Tyagi Shrivastava and Ms. Darshi Sharma Guhey gave a session on ‘Custodial Rape case NHRC guidelines, Victim Rehabilitation, and follow-up compensation.’ Mr. Abhay Mishra gave a session on ‘The Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act 2005.’ The enlightening sessions were highly appreciated by the participants and the organizers of the event.
The five-day workshop was organized under the able supervision of Academy Superintendent of Police, Mr. Jayant Vaishnav. Other police officials were also present during the event.
