Kalinga University NSS Unit and IQAC cell conducted infrastructure development of Government schools in rural areas and Social Idea Enterprise Challenge” program by IEEE Student Branch of Kalinga University in collaboration with R10 EAC and IEEE Madhya Pradesh Section

Raipur (thestates.news)  Infrastructure development program for Government schools present in rural areas of Naya Raipur conducted by National Service Scheme (NSS) Unit and Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Kalinga University. The aim of this program was to provide basic amenities to Government schools present in rural areas to develop thier infrastructure. In total 6 faculties and many students participated in the event.

During the program, total 7 schools were visited by the team of NSS unit and IQAC cell of Kalinga University namely Government Primary School, Kotni, Government Middle School, Kotni, Government Middle School, Tandul, Government Primary School, Kuhera, Government Middle School, Kuhera, Government Primary School, Parsada and Government Primary School, Palod. Initially a survey was carried out by NSS and IQAC team understand the requirements of the Government Schools. Based on this various amenities like Green Board, Carpet, Dustbin, Almira, Book Rack, wheel chair etc. was distributed to the various Government schools of Naya Raipur.

This initiative has brought smile on the faces of students and teachers of the schools. Finally, the Head Master/Mistress appreciated this initiative of Kalinga University by providing appreciation certificates.

Kalinga University, Raipur also organized “Social Idea Enterprise Challenge” program by IEEE Student Branch of Kalinga University in collaboration with R10 EAC and IEEE Madhya Pradesh Section. The aim of this program is to provide students with new ideas of challenges in the field of Social Entrepreneurship. Six teams of students participated in this competition to promote awareness about social entrepreneurship.

Dr. Vijayalakshmi Biradar, in-charge of IEEE Student Branch and Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of “Kalinga University, while addressing the group present in this competition said that Kalinga University has always encouraged its students to pursue their interest in entrepreneurship in the social sector and contribute to the country by playing the role of flag bearer for innovation and entrepreneurship. This initiative will act as an opportunity for the students to involve themselves in socially relevant initiatives in the field of entrepreneurship and their innovative ideas will surely benefit the society.”

Mr. Joginder Tenikela, CEO of Pulse Active Station, was Chief Guest and Judge of the program. Six groups of students gave their presentation on various topics related to the event. In the first group Ms. Sakshi Paswan, Mr. Tejas Nahargaonkar and Mr. Raunak Bisen gave presentation on the topic ‘Smart Parking Management System’. In the second group Mr. Atul Sharma and Mr. Nihal Adhikari gave presentation on ‘Ethanol Blended Petrol Program’ and in the third group Ms. Sania Devangan. And Mr. Milind Jain gave their presentation on the topic ‘Sky Line’. Mr. Vijay Kumar gave his presentation on ‘Edu-Tech Hybrid Learning’ as the fourth group, Ms. Arya Agarwal and Mr. Ankit Singh from the fifth group shared their ideas on ‘Let it Go’. Similarly, in the sixth group, Mr. Harsh Prasad Shah and Mr. Moses Joseph Benjamin made their presentation on ‘Continuous Streaming Platform for Payment’.

After the competition, the team of Ms. Arya Agarwal and Mr. Ankit Singh secured the first position and the team of Ms. Sania Devangan and Mr. Milind Jain secured the second position. The program was coordinated by Mr. Anup Kumar Jena, IQAC member while the vote of thanks was given by Mr. Sarat Chandra Mohanty, IQAC Member. Students of IEEE Student Branch and all the member of Internal Quality Assurance Cell of Kalinga University were present in this program.
