during first Step 2022 Induction Program organized for the new students of LLB, LLM, BALLB and BBALLB during Wednesday. While Er. BN Rao was the chief guest on Tuesday. Programs were organised by Dean Student Welfare Department of Kalinga University at its campus. Students were given a warm welcome at the entrance and porch area of the Kalinga University
with beats of Dhol.
During the Induction program showering of flowers and Tilak was performed for the new students at the entrance of the Auditorium of Kalinga University. Lighting of traditional lamps and Goddess Saraswati Vandana. Brief information was shared to the students through Power Point Presentation (PPT) about Kalinga University. Introduction of all dignitaries Chairman,
Chancellor, Vice Chancellor, Director General, Registrar, Dean Students Welfare, Dean Academic Affairs of Kalinga University were presented through PPT. Vice Chancellor Dr R Shridhar, Director General Dr. Byju John, Registrar Dr. Sandeep Gandhi, Dean Students Welfare Dr Asha Ambhaikar, Dean Academic Affairs Mr Rahul Mishra, Guest Motivational speaker Ms Ranjna Kshetrapal, Assistant Professor of foreign language Mr. Young Su Chung and other dignitaries present during the function were welcomed by offering potted plants.
Followed by Introduction of Marketing Team Leaders, Mr Abhishek Sharma Director Admission, Mr Amit Bhattacharya Assistant Director Marketing, Ms Kajal Singh Assistant Director Admission, Ms Sonam Dubey Senior Marketing Manager, Mr Navin Upadhyay Senior Marketing Manager and Ms Parvinder Shesh International Students Advisor.
A welcome dance was presented by Ms. Surbhi Rathi, a student of University. After the formal inauguration Dr Sandeep Gandhi, Registrar of Kalinga University gave a welcome speech. He informed that Kalinga is among the top universities of central India. A motivational speech was presented by Vice Chancellor Dr R Shridhar. He informed students about the qualities of a good lawyer. He emphasized on development of Communication skill, Drafting skill, knowledge of the subject, practice through moot court, exposure to the candidate through National University Competition, Practical experience to be shared through renowned
guest lawyer seminar. It was informed that through field visit students will acquired good knowledge of working in court.
A group dance was performed by Rithik and group.
Motivational speech was given by Keynote speaker En BN Rao. He informed that through Attitude is required to prosper in every field because attitude is 100% while Luck is 47 %, Love is 54 %, Hardwork is 96% and Knowledge is 93%. He further informed that listening skill should be developed which is important for students.
He further informed that parents should take care of students and treat them properly according to their age group. During childhood children should be loved and good habits should be inculcated in them when they are in age group of seven years. After they reach the age of 13 they should be treated like a friend. After age of 25 years they should be allowed to take decisions of their life. He shared his experience of life and also sang a song for the students.
Guest speaker Ms Ranjna Kshetrapal gave valuable tips to the students and stressed that one should start the day with smile on face. Plan your work and work your plan while it is better to walk with confidence instead of running with confusion. She informed that one should plan systematic work in advance and short term and long term plans should be prepared. One
should memorize things regularly and students should be regular in class. They should raise questions and law students should devote their time more in practicing their skills to develop confidence and perfection. One should think positive and connection with friends as well as family members. One should spend some time for hobbies and one should manage each day of life.
A game Pictionary was played by the students. Mr Young Su Chung, Assistant Professor of foreign language addressed the students. Melodious songs presented by students Ayush Dhiwar and Md Hasan mesmerized the audience. A solo song was presented by Sania Dewangan. Ms Deepshika, Alumini of BALLB presently working as Legal Associate in VKJ Estate shared her experience with the students.
Introduction of Deans and Head of the Department was done through PPT. A melodious flute performance by done by Rahul Sahu. Dr Tufail Ahmed, Dean of Law department gave introduction of faculties. Specially prepared game Tuneology was played by Mr. Kapil Kelkar and Ms Shreya Dwivedi. Mr Rahul Mishra, Dean Academic Affairs gave valuable information on Academics curriculum.
Dr Asha Ambhaikar, Dean Students Welfare proposed vote of thanks. The program concluded with National Anthem. The program was organized by the team of Dean Student Welfare. Master of ceremony was Mr Kapil Kelkar and Ms Shreya Dwivedi, welcome team members were Ms Jashmin Joshi, Dr Komal Gupta, Ms Nisha Nandini and Ms Hrishina Khare while
cultural events were managed by Lt. Vibha Chandrakar. Mr Om Prakash Dewangan, Assistant Professor and Head of Department of Computer Science and IT took care of technical part of the event. Sports officer Dr Sanjeev Kumar Yadav well coordinated the sports events. All Deans, Head of Departments and faculties were present during the programme. Parents of the students also enjoyed the fun filled event and appreciated the efforts made by the Kalinga University for the new students.
After lunch break students took part in outdoor fun games activities like Tug of War and Treasure Hunt. Students enjoyed the games and played with great enthusiasm.
