Raipur (thestates.news) |On the occasion of Krishna Janmashtami- the birth anniversary of Lord Krishna was celebrated with great fervor at the Chief Minister’s residence on Monday.
Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai celebrated Janmashtami with differently abled children at his residence this time. The Chief Minister’s residence was filled with the frolic of 25 children from three social welfare institutions dedicated for differently abled children of Raipur.
Amidst festive mood and celebrations, these children were dressed as Radha and Krishna, who accompanied Chief Minister Shri Sai in religious rituals. Shri Sai worshipped Lord Krishna with these children and wished for the happiness, prosperity and well-being of the state. He also worshipped the differently abled child Rudra, who was seated in the cradle as Bal Gopal and swung him on a swing. Shri Sai extended his warm greetings and wished prosperity for the people of the state on Krishna Janmashtami.
Post religious ceremony, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai distributed Prasad to all the children. He took the children in his lap, caressed them and engaged in light-hearted conversations like enquiring about their interests and studies. Children from Raipur’s Government School for the Visually and Hearing Impaired, Mathpuraina and Mana’s Asthmadhit Balgrih and Multi-Disabled Balgrih participated in the Krishna Janmashtami program organized at the Chief Minister’s residence. Chief Minister Shri Sai made their festival special by sharing today’s holy day with special children. On this occasion, he said that celebrating the birth anniversary of Lord Krishna with these children and worshipping him is a matter of great pleasure and pride for me.
“Like other children of the state, differently abled-children are also an integral part of our society. We are always committed to their better upbringing, education and making them self-reliant,” said Shri Sai.
