New Delhi,(thestates.news) : Prime Minister Narendra Modi will kick off the Biotech Startup Expo-2022 on June 9. The Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) said in a statement that the two-day expo is being organised by the Department of Biotechnology and the Biotechnology Industry Research Assistance Council . It is being held to commemorate the completion of BIRAC’s ten-year establishment. The expo’s theme is ‘Biotech Startup Innovations: Towards AatmaNirbhar Bharat.’ According to the PMO, the expo will serve as a platform for connecting entrepreneurs, investors, industry leaders, scientists, researchers, bio-incubators, manufacturers, regulators, and government officials. The expo will feature approximately 300 stalls showcasing biotechnology applications in fields such as healthcare, genomics, biopharma, agriculture, industrial biotechnology, waste-to-value, and clean energy, among others.(HS)
