Raipur (thestates.news)| ‘Mukhyamantri Mitan Yojana’ has brought huge relief to the citizens living in urban areas, as they are now getting important government documents at their doorsteps. Under the scheme, so far more than 50,000 citizens have received their necessary public documents at their doorstep. Besides, more than 1 lakh citizens have sought information regarding the scheme on toll-free number 14545.
As per the direction of Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel, the home access service ‘Mukhyamantri Mitan Yojana’ was started on May 01, 2022, by the Urban Administration Development Department in all 14 municipal corporations of the state to make public documents available to the citizens at their doorsteps.
Services under the Mitan Yojana include the home delivery of official documents like birth certificates, correction in the birth certificate, death certificates, correction in the death certificate, domicile certificates, marriage registration certificates, income certificates, OBC certificates, SC/ST certificates, shop and establishment registration certificates, land record copy, land notification (land use), Aadhar card registration, address and mobile number correction in Aadhar card for children up to 5 years of age, application for PAN number, PAN update, and duplicates. This is saving people’s time, money, and effort as they no longer have to make rounds of government offices for getting their required certificates.
Application process: For availing the benefit of the scheme, the applicant has to dial the toll-free number 14545. After this, the appointment is booked. Following this, the applicant receives an SMS with the booking details. After this, Mitan reaches the applicant’s house on the fixed time and date and collects the necessary documents. He then verifies the documents through the tablet and uploads them on the portal. The verified documents are then sent online to the concerned departments that issue the certificate. The certificate is issued after document verification and is then delivered to the applicant’s doorstep by Mitan.
