Narendra Modi to inaugurate ‘Atal Bridge’ in Ahmedabad today

Ahmedabad, (thestates.news) : Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the ‘Atal Bridge’ built on the Sabarmati river for pedestrians in Ahmedabad today. On this occasion, the Prime Minister will address the Khadi Utsav celebrations at the Sabarmati Riverfront. He will be on a Gujarat tour on Saturday and Sunday. The Gujarat government has said: Prime Minister Modi will address the people in the Khadi festival program on the first day. The event will be organized in the evening on the banks of the Sabarmati river. At this place, the Prime Minister will inaugurate the footbridge, Atal Bridge’.

This bridge has been constructed by the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation. This bridge is about 300 meters long and 14 meters wide and has an attractive design with LED lighting. Cyclists can also pass through this bridge. From this bridge, people can reach the riverfront from both the lower and upper reaches. 2,600 metric tons of steel pipes have been used in the construction of the bridge. Apart from this, the Prime Minister will inaugurate the memorial Smriti Van built in memory of the earthquake victims in Madhapur village near Bhuj city on Sunday.(HS)
