NTPC reports 17.15 pc jump in coal dispatch in Q1 of FY25

New Delhi (thestates.news)| State-run power major NTPC on Monday reported a 17.15% year-on-year increase in coal dispatch from its captive mines during April-June quarter (Q1) of the current financial year 2024-25. The company achieved a coal dispatch of 10.194 million metric tonne (MMT) during Q1 FY25. During this period, coal production stood at 9.862 MMT with a growth of nearly 15% by the end of quarter Q1 FY25.

“This outstanding performance reflects NTPC’s relentless commitment to enhancing coal production from its captive mines and ensuring efficient supply to meet the country’s energy requirements,” the power major said. NTPC said that it has implemented a range of strategies and technologies to achieve sustained growth in coal production.
