Raipur (thestates.news): Chhattisgarh is one of the leading states in the country in terms of using solar energy to boost farmers’ income. Not just agriculture, solar energy is being used in other sectors as well across the state in solar-powered water systems and providing electricity in rural and far-flung areas of the state. Under the efforts of CM Bhupesh Baghel to strengthen the rural economy, top priority has been given to the installation of solar irrigation pumps with the aim of boosting the income of farmers. Rapid work was done in this direction and recently the Chhattisgarh State Renewable Energy Development Agency has been awarded the National Award for installing the maximum number of solar pumps in the country and for energy conservation.
