New Delhi (thestates.news)|The trailer of Akshay Kumar starrer Oh My God 2 (OMG2) was released on Thursday, containing a mix blend of humour and thought provoking social message. The satiric comedy is a sequel to the 2012 superhit movie OMG – Oh My God!
A few weeks ago, a teaser of OMG 2 was launched, which became a sensation among netizens who watched Akshay Kumar portraying the role of a character resembling lord Shiva. According to the official synopsis of the movie, the life of one Kanti Sharan Mudgal (played by Pankaj Tripathi) was bliss, until his son Vivek is blamed for immoral conduct and expelled from school. Overwhelmed, Kanti plans to leave town until a divine intervention leads him to seek justice by taking those responsible to court.

Mudgal, who is the devotee of Lord Shiva, turns to the god, who appears on earth in a human form (Akshay Kumar) and helps him to overcome his problems, A hilarious sequence in the three-minute trailer shows Akshay buying kachoris from a roadside vendor. After taking the kachoris, he blesses the vendor, who shoots back: “Ashirvad nehin, paisa chahiye” (I don’t want your blessings, I want the money).
Akshay Kumar, Pankaj Tripathi and Yami Gautam are in the lead roles. Directed by Amit Rai, the film is produced by Ashwin Varde, Viacom 18 and Jio Studios. (UNI)
