Raipur (thestates.news) | IEEE Kalinga University Student Branch in association with BDS Education The IEEE Kalinga University Student Branch, in collaboration with BDS Education, successfully organized a One-Day Hands-on Training Program on Python, Coding & Robotics, offering an innovative platform for students to dive into the world of programming and robotics. This event stood out as an exciting mix of learning, collaboration, and creativity, attracting tech enthusiasts and innovators alike.

The sessions were led by esteemed speakers, including Col. N. C. Gupta, Director of BDS Education; Mr. Pankaj Kabir Panthi, IT/Technical Head at BDS Education; and Dr.
Vijayalaxmi, Director IQAC, Kalinga University, Naya Raipur (C.G.). Their expertise and dynamic presentations helped participants grasp the core concepts of coding and robotics effectively.
The training was meticulously designed to provide both conceptual and practical exposure to foundational programming skills. The topics covered included: Introduction to Block-based Coding, MIT App Inventor, Robotics with Codey Rocky & mBot, Transitioning from
Scratch to Python, Fundamentals of Python, Exploration of Basic Python Projects, Migration from Scratch to Arduino, Tinkering with Arduino, Demonstration of
Scratch-based Projects.
A total of 49 enthusiastic students from various universities participated in this transformative learning experience. They were organized into 9 groups to foster collaboration and teamwork. This hands-on approach not only reinforced their understanding of Python programming and robotics but also sparked their creativity and innovation.
Dr. Anita Verma, Ms. Apurva Sharma, Mr. Abhishek Gupta, Mr. Abhishek Singh, Mr.
Ashwan Sahu, and Mr. Hemant Sahu played pivotal roles in coordinating the practical
sessions. Additionally, a team of enthusiastic IEEE student volunteers, including Mr.
Priyanshu Singh, Mr. Piyush Shrivastava, Mr. Vedant Raj, Ms. Koda Ayushi Rao, and
Ms. Simpi Kumari, actively facilitated hands-on activities and guided participants
throughout the program.
The event concluded with a celebratory certificate distribution ceremony. Special recognition
was given to teams that displayed exceptional creativity and innovation. This engaging
initiative not only empowered students with technical expertise but also ignited a passion for
problem-solving and innovation. It demonstrated the potential of coding and robotics to
transform ideas into reality, leaving participants inspired and eager to explore the endless
possibilities in technology.
