Organization of the National Bike Racing Championship in Raipur, ‘moment of pride’ for whole Chhattisgarh: Chief Minister Mr. Baghel

Raipur  (The States. news) |Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel made entry in a unique style, riding a bike, at the two-day long National Supercross Competition 2022 and Freestyle Motocross Competition concluded at the outdoor stadium in Raipur late on Sunday. The move was to boost morale of the bikers and enthusiasm among the spectators.

Mr. Bhupesh Baghel attended the competition organized under the joint aegis of Sports and Youth Welfare Department and Chhattisgarh Motor Sports Association, on Sunday evening.  The spectators were enthralled by the adventurous and astonishing performance of national and international level bike riders in the competition.

Addressing the gathering on the occasion, Chief Minister Mr. Baghel said the National Supercross Competition 2022 and Freestyle Motocross was organized for the first time in the country under flood lights in an outdoor stadium here. It is a matter of pride for our state. Chhattisgarh Motor Sports has successfully organized various national level competitions and international level rallies, since the formation of Chhattisgarh state.

He said adding that this event is unique in itself and at the same time exciting. Such events are important to promote motor sports in the state, provide a platform to racers to unleash their potential and show that India and Chhattisgarh are capable of organizing sports competitions at such a grand  level. The basic objective of the competition is to prevent road rage and stop youth from performing stunts on public roads. Besides, the competition also aims to provide a platform to the bikers to showcase their talent. The aim of Chhattisgarh Motor Sports Association is to establish this special sport–very popular at international level, full of thrill, speed and courage–in Chhattisgarh. Our government is providing full support in this initiative.

Chief Minister Mr. Baghel said that along with the national competition, mind blowing performances were given by freestyle motocross by international riders. To encourage the bikers of the state, a special category has also been kept for the participants of Chhattisgarh in various races of this competition. Race is organized in a total 8 categories in this competition. In the midst of these racing competitions, freestyle moto races were performed, which filled the spectators with excitement. I myself have been a fan of bike riding and even today I like to travel by bike when needed, said the Chief Minister.

He congratulated the Chhattisgarh Motor Sports Association for organizing such a grand event in Chhattisgarh.
