New Delhi, (thestates.news) : In the last 24 hours till Saturday 7am, India registered 8,329 new Covid-19 cases, whereas 4,216 patients recovered, taking the tally of recovered patients, since the beginning of the pandemic, to over 4.26 crore in the country.Total number of active Covid-19 patients in the country is 40,370, this comprises approximately 0.09% of the total cases registered since the beginning of the pandemic.According to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, more than 3.44 lakh tests were conducted in the last 24 hours taking the cumulative tests conducted, since the beginning of the pandemic, to over 85.45 crore. Recovery rate, at a consistent pace, currently stands at 98.69%. Weekly Positivity Rate in the country is gradually increasing and currently stands at 1.75% and the Daily Positivity rate currently has increased till 2.41%.(HS)
