Chief Minister assured the farmers during the Bhent Mulaqat Programme in Makdi
Raipur (thestates.news) | The people who arrogate farmers’ money cannot roam free, they’ll be sent to jail. Any incident of fraud with farmers will be thoroughly investigated and immediate action will be taken. During the ‘Bhent-Mulaqat’ Programme in Makdi, Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel assured all the farmers after hearing the complaint of one of them. He said that the officers have been instructed to take strict action in the event of fraud with farmers so that such antisocial agents are taught a lesson. A farmer had made a complaint against the Additional Agriculture Extension Officer A.K. Tandon during the Bhent Mulaqat Programme in Makdi. The Police Officers said that an F.I.R has been lodged against him. “Welfare of the farmers is among the topmost priorities of the state government. We are committed to provide right and fair price for their produce”, said Mr. Baghel. On this occasion, Minister of Industries Kawasi Lakhma, Rajya Sabha MP Phulo Devi Netam, MP Deepak Baij, Kondagaon MLA Mohan Markam, and other public representatives were also present.
