Petrol-diesel price stable, crude near $81 per barrel

New Delhi(thestates.news)| : The upward trend in the price of crude oil is continuing in the international market. Brent crude is trending around $81 per barrel and WTI crude is also trending around $76 per barrel. Despite this, public sector oil and gas marketing companies have not made any change in the price of petrol and diesel in the domestic market.

According to the website of Indian Oil, petrol remained at Rs 96.72, diesel at Rs 89.62 per liter in Delhi on Wednesday. At the same time, petrol is available in Mumbai at Rs 106.31, diesel at Rs 94.27 per litre. Similarly, petrol in Kolkata is being sold at Rs 92.76, diesel at Rs 92.76 per litre, while petrol is being sold at Rs 102.63 and diesel at Rs 94.24 per liter in Chennai.

Brent crude is trending at $ 80.47 per barrel in the early trade on the third day of the week in the international market. At the same time, West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude is trading at $ 75.23 per barrel. However, despite crude oil being cheaper since May 22, the prices of petrol and diesel are stable in the domestic market.(HS)
