PM Modi launches development projects in Mumbai

Mumbai (Thestates.news) The development projects launched in Mumbai today will enhance connectivity, significantly upgrade the city’s infrastructure and greatly benefit its citizens, said Prime Minister Narendra Modi here on Saturday. He also asserted that he would strive to make Mumbai a global think tank.

Speaking after inaugurating various development projects worth Rs 30,000 crore for Maharashtra and Mumbai, he said, “These projects will improve connectivity in and around Mumbai. Apart from roads and railways, it also includes a huge scheme for skill development of the youth of Maharashtra. This will create a large number of jobs in Maharashtra.”

Maharashtra has a glorious history, has a strong present, and dreams of a prosperous future, he said. Maharashtra is the power of industries, power of agriculture, power of finance sector, he said and pointed that this power has made Mumbai the finance hub of the country.

This power would make Maharashtra an economic powerhouse of the country, he said. “My goal is to make Mumbai the think tank capital of the world,” Modi said. “India’s aspirations in the 21st century have risen. Therefore, efforts are being made to improve connectivity in the surrounding areas of Mumbai,” he said and stated that infrastructure projects such as Coastal Road and Atal Setu in Mumbai are examples of the same.

For the past one month, Mumbai has witnessed a festival of domestic and foreign investments, he said and informed that investors big and small have enthusiastically welcomed the third term of his government. People know that only the NDA government can provide stability, he claimed.

“After taking oath for the third time, I had said that the NDA government will work three times faster in the third term,” the Prime Minister further claimed and said, “today we can see this happening.” He indicated that Maharashtra will become number one state in India in tourism sector. “This is the goal of the coalition government,” he added.
