Gandhinagar (Gujarat), (thestates.news)| Bharatiya Janata Party national president JP Nadda on Tuesday said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is the biggest well-wisher of the farmers of the country, his priority are for the sons of the earth. Nadda said Modi has provided direct assistance to the farmers. Nadda expressed this view after inaugurating the Namo Kisan Panchayat organised under the aegis of State BJP Kisan Morcha. After the address, Nadda flagged off e-bikes for about 14,200 villages of about 143 assembly seats in Gujarat.
Under the Namo Kisan Panchayat, through these e-bikes, information about farmer-oriented schemes and works of the central and state government will be given in the villages. Nadda said that the budget of the Agriculture Department has been increased six times. He said efforts are being made to get maximum price to the farmers. He said Prime Minister Modi has done good for the poor by giving 5 kg wheat, 5 kg rice and 5 kg pulses to 80 crore people by launching the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana.
He said that when the disaster struck a century ago, more people died of hunger than of disease. He said that the corona pandemic was the biggest tragedy of the century, under the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana, the Prime Minister has done the work of sending ₹6,000 annually to the accounts of more than 11 crore farmers. Prime Minister Modi is working tirelessly to realise the dream of the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi. Nadda has arrived today on a two-day visit to Gujarat. The Kisan Morcha has decided to conduct Namo Kisan Panchayat from the birthday of Prime Minister Modi, i.e. September 17 to October 2.(HS):
