PM Vishwakarma completes three years with 30 lakh artisans registered under the scheme

Kolkata (thestates.news) |The Ministry of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises (MSME), Government of India, celebrated the 3rd Anniversary of the PM Vishwakarma at Dhono Dhanyo Auditorium, Kolkata, West Bengal. The occasion marked three years of the Scheme’s implementation and highlighted the Government’s continued efforts to strengthen the livelihoods, skills and entrepreneurial capabilities of traditional artisans and craftspeople.

West Bengal onboarded for implementation of PM Vishwakarma in May 2026, marking an important step towards extending comprehensive support to the State’s traditional artisans and craftspeople. The celebrations in Kolkata underscored the scheme’s significance in empowering Vishwakarmas through skill training, modern tools, institutional credit and market linkages.(s-pib)
