Mumbai, (thestates.news)| :As the Shiv Sena rebellion entered its fourth day, on Friday, the political unrest in Maharashtra grew more intense. Maharashtra Police has been placed on high alert, as the state struggles with political unrest. All police stations in the state, especially those in Mumbai, are to remain on high alert in accordance with the directive. According to sources, the Maharashtra police issued a statement saying, Police received information that Shiv Sainiks can take to the streets in large numbers.
During a meeting at Sena Bhavan in Mumbai, Shiv Sena leader and Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray attacked Sena Minister Eknath Shinde, claiming that he did everything for Shinde and that even the department that the former Maha CM previously had was given to Shinde. The ongoing political uproar in Maharashtra is centred on Eknath Shinde. He started a rebellion, reportedly with the support of over 40 MLAs, to bring down the Shiv-Sena-led Maharashtra Vikas Aghadi (MVA) coalition government.(H.S)
