Raipur : Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel inaugurates Swami Atmanand English College in Korba

Provision of Rs 2.40 crore for construction of new building

The Chief Minister, Mr. Bhupesh Baghel, inaugurated the Swami Atmanand Government English Medium Adarsh College in Korba, with the aim of providing quality education in English. The college will offer courses in Arts, Commerce, Science, and Computer Science, and is affiliated with Atal Bihari Vajpayee University, Bilaspur. The admission process for the 2023-24 sessions has already begun, and students are actively enrolling.

The college has modern equipment as well as traditional teaching facilities, and students will benefit from these resources. The entire campus is monitored under C.C.T.V. surveillance for security purposes. The college has made necessary arrangements for sports and cultural activities, ensuring the intellectual, physical, mental, and multidimensional development of students.

The government has approved a total of 34 posts, including the principal, assistant professor, librarian, and third and fourth-class staff for the college’s operation. Additionally, a budget of Rs 2.40 crore is allocated for the construction of a new building.

With the introduction of this college, students studying in Atmanand English medium school and private English medium schools in the district need not go elsewhere for higher education. They can now receive quality education in their own city.
