Workshop sheds light on strategies for effective soil and moisture conservation

Discussion held on conservation and promotion of natural resources

Raipur (thestates.news) |  In a national workshop organized under the aegis of the Department of Forest and Climate Change in Raipur, detailed discussions were held on various measures for soil and moisture conservation on Wednesday. Officials from the forest departments of different states, central teams, and forestry experts from the country participated in the discussions focused on conserving and preserving natural resources.

Addressing the programme, PCCF Shri V Srinivas Rao highlighted the rapid implementation of the Narva Development Program in Chhattisgarh for land and water conservation. He mentioned that the ambitious ‘Narva Development Program’ of the state government in Chhattisgarh has successfully revived 6,395 canals located in forest areas besides treating and reviving an area of 22.92 lakh hectares. Presentations were made during the workshop to showcase these achievements and discussions were held on various methods of the Narva Development Program.
