Recovery of learning process in Chhattisgarh better than other states after COVID

Raipur (thestates.news)| The Annual Status of Education Report (ASER) – 2022  was released on Friday by School Education Minister Dr. Premsai Singh Tekam from his residence office. He said that COVID has adversely impacted the learning process of children in various states. In Chhattisgarh, the school education department and teachers have worked hard to avert the occurred situation of learning hindrances for students during the COVID period. The departments will work unitedly in the direction of bringing them to a better condition soon.

In Chhattisgarh, ASER surveyed 64 thousand 131 children in the age group of 3 to 16 years by visiting 33 thousand 330 houses in 1679 villages of 28 districts. Data on the enrollment of children in pre-primary schools in rural areas were collected. Children aged 5-16 years were evaluated for comprehension skills in reading, maths, and English.
