Sensex falls 50.62 pts

Mumbai, (Thestates.news) | The BSE Sensex on Wednesday ended weak at 78,148.49, falling 50.62 pts as selling was seen in Consumer Durable, Industrials, and Power stocks. The National Stock Exchange (NSE) eased 32 pts at 23,615.50.

The Sensex opened in green at 78,319.45, up 120 pts, it remained days high. Later, it tanked 713 pts at 77,486.79, a day low, before closing at 78,148.49, declining 50.62 pts from its previous close.
The Nifty registered days high and low at 23,751.85 and 23,496.15 pts respectively. The Mid- cap eased by 1.09 pc and the Small-cap by 1.12 pc.

In 30 scrips, 15 advanced while 15 declined. The losers were Adani Ports by 2.10 pc to Rs 1150.10, Ultracemco by 1.75 pc to Rs 11411.25, Zomato by 1.23 pc to Rs 249.40 and L&T by 1.22 pc to Rs 3597.55. The gainers were ITC by 1.89 pc to Rs 449.45, Asian paints by 1.83 pc to Rs 2335.05, TCS by 1.80 pc to Rs 4100.70 and Reliance Industries by 1.70 pc to Rs 1262. (UNI)
