Mumbai, (Thestates.news)| The BSE Sensex on Monday rallied 299 points to 72’726.43 in the opening session as almost all stocks were in green. The National Stock Exchange (NSE) rose 99.85 points to 21,140.55. The Sensex registered intraday highs and lows at 72,308.68 and 72,181.60 pts, respectively. The Nifty registered intraday highs and lows at 22,143.15 and 22,021.05 pts, respectively.
The Mid Cap gained 0.51 pc and the Small Cap gained 0.84 pc. In 30 scrips, 19 advanced, 10 declined while 1 remained unchanged. The gainers were ITC by 1.74 percent to Rs 411.80, Bajaj Finserv by 1.56 percent to Rs 1600.15, Bajaj Finance by 1.49 percent to Rs 6720, Bharti Airtel by 1.52 percent to Rs 1136.90 and ICICI Bank by 1.45 percent to Rs 1037.60.
The losers were L&T by 1.18 percent to Rs 3349.15, TCS by 0.89 percent to Rs 4092.25, Wipro by 0.86 percent to Rs 538.45 and Tata Motors by 0.52 percent to Rs 923.90. (uni)
