Sidhbaba reservoir will become a strong base for irrigation: CM Vishnudev Sai

Raipur (thestates.news) |On his tour of Sushasan Tihar, Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai reached Gabhra village of Khairagarh-Chhuikhadan-Gandai district by helicopter after the Samadhan camp of Sitagaon. He inspected the Sidhbaba irrigation reservoir project being built near the village at a cost of Rs 220 crore. This irrigation reservoir will provide irrigation facility to about four and a half thousand farmers of 34 villages. The reservoir will irrigate Kharif crops in 1840 hectares of area and Rabi crops in 1380 hectares.

Chief Minister Shri Sai, while inspecting the reservoir site, directed the concerned officials to increase the pace of construction work and pay special attention to quality. The Chief Minister said that this reservoir will not only become a means of increasing the income of farmers, but will also be a strong base for the social and economic development of this area. Our government is committed to providing water to every farmer.

On this occasion, Deputy Chief Minister Shri Vijay Sharma, Chief Secretary to the Chief Minister Shri Subodh Kumar Singh, senior administrative officers, public representatives and a large number of villagers were present.
