Subramanian Swamy to vacate govt bungalow in 6 weeks: High Court

New Delhi,(thestates.news) : BJP leader Subramanian Swamy has received a setback from the Delhi High Court on Wednesday as the court has asked him to vacate his official residence in six weeks. This government residence was allotted to Swamy in January 2016. Before the Rajya Sabha’s term ended in April 2022, Swamy had sought reallocation of the house citing security reasons. In the High Court, the Central Government had opposed Subramanian Swamy’s demand for re-allotment of the house. The government said that there is a need for bungalows for MPs and ministers.(HS)
