Raipur (thestates.news) | Kalinga University organized a training session on official procedures and report writing, which included letter drafting and file management. The session was held as per the Chhattisgarh Private University Regulatory Commission (CGPURC) recommendations to
enhance administrative efficiency and streamline official documentation.
Retired IAS officer Mr. Chandrahas Behar was the keynote speaker, delivering an
insightful session on office management, decision-making, and documentation protocols.
He imparted training to various reputed institutes in India and acted as an advisor and
consultant to various government departments. He explained the importance of effective
communication in administrative processes, covering aspects such as file noting,
numbering, and referencing of official documents. He also provided guidance on
recording oral orders, maintaining registers, and handling different office sections,
including human resources, finance, education and research, compliance, and records
management.
Mr. Behar emphasized the need for clear, concise, and precise communication in official
documentation, advising participants to use language that is unambiguous, professional,
and logically structured for better understanding and decision-making.
The training session was attended by key university officials, including Dr. Sandeep
Gandhi, Registrar Dr. Lincy Roy, Deputy Registrar and Head HR Mr. Amitesh Burman,
Deputy Manager HR: Lt. Vibha Chandrakar, Incharge Dean of Students’ Welfare and
Assistant Professor, Dr. A Vijayanand, Chief Proctor, Mr. Ashish Rawat and Mr. Mohit
Sagoria, Assistant Registrars Mrs. Shilpi Nishant Tanwani, Academic Officer, Mr. Rajesh
Vishwakarma, Scholarship Incharge, Mrs. Harsha Sharma, NSS Coordinator; and Dr.
Yogesh Vaishnav, Young Indian Coordinator.
The initiative aims to enhance administrative efficiency by equipping university officials
with essential skills in report writing and file management. By ensuring adherence to
proper procedures, Kalinga University is reinforcing its commitment to transparent
governance and effective policy implementation.
